Knitting for selfish purposes

Yarn: KnitPicks Merino Style in Coal(only 1 skein, with a couple yards leftover!)
US 4/3.5mm DPNs
Pattern from Knitty
cabling w/o a cable needle (awesome!)
Added 2 extra rows to the body of the glove( 18 rows to 20 rows)
No picot bind-off
Picked up a total of 8 stitches vs. 4 for the thumbs
to account for the smaller gauge of the Merino Style.

It took me a month to knit these!
I think weaving and other homework got in the way.
Now I have toasty warm gloves to wear,
and the cabling w/o a cable needle was strangely fun to do.
The merino was a nice yarn to knit with, and now i'm a bit addicted.
